The management of Ebonyi State University ( EBSU ), Abakaliki expelled three students who were allegedly found in possession of firearms during the campus students Union Government (SUG) elections. . Reports that the expelled students were arrested by police with guns and live ammunition, and were accused of firing shots to disperse crowdsand attempting to target the Dean of student affairs. . The Vice Chancellor, Professor Michael Awoke, condemned the act as criminal and said such conduct would not be tolerated. . The resit was conducted between Friday and Monday following widespread complaints of technical and human errors during the initial UTME exam. Prof. Ishaq Oloyede disclosed that 379,997 candidates were affected—206,610 across 65 centres in Lagos and 173,387 in 92 centres in the South-East.
